About the artist:
Lo Tsen, birth name Tseng Su-Chen. was born in 1947 in Xiamen, Fujian Province in China, and moved to Taiwan with her parents at the age of two. With a natural flair for painting, she demonstrated compelling talent in art and calligraphy while in school. Becoming acquainted with Chu Wei-bor, Wu Hao, Lee Hsi-chi and other distinguished artists in 1968, she took a keen interest in modern painting and was apprenticed to Wu Hao for a year. A self-study style, thereafter, was taken in Lo Tsen's labor for her artistry.
Accompanying her husband who worked in diplomacy since 1973, Lo Tsen learned much from experiencing life in the West. Considering the difference of culture, life and concept between the East and the West, she committed herself to unremitting learning and adaptation to foreign life.
