Tongan flanker Epi Taione suspended for 2 weeks for dangerous tackle

Tongan flanker Epi Taione has been suspended for two weeks over a dangerous tackle during his team's Pacific Nations Cup rugby match against New Zealand Maori on Saturday.
Taione received a yellow card for the tackle on Maori No.8 Thomas Waldrom in the 67th minute of the match at North Harbour Stadium, won 20-9 by the New Zealand team.
He was later cited and appeared before IRB judicial officer Chris Morris in Auckland on Sunday.
In giving evidence, Taione accepted his tackle on Waldrom was poorly executed and deserving of a yellow card. Morris said the tackle was around the neck and throat area and merited a two-week suspension under IRB sanction guidelines.
Taione was suspended for six weeks for head butting while playing for South Africa's Sharks during the last Super 14 season.
