Ricardo: 6. Kept his calm when the ball got to him and avoided mistakes.
Paulo Ferreira: 6. Defended well but did not move forward too much as usual.
Jose Bosingwa: 7. Looked hesitant in the first minutes but eventually showed the skill that made Chelsea sign him.
Pepe: 9. Perfect debut to major competition. Was solid on defense and scored decisive goal. Also had a goal disallowed for offsides.
Ricardo Carvalho: 6. Kept Turkish defenders from threatening.
Armando Petit: 7. Marked well and created some plays offensively.
Joao Moutinho: 6. Participated in the second goal and not much else during match.
Deco: 7. His long passes to the wingers gave the team a couple of good scoring chances.
Cristiano Ronaldo: 8. Didn't score but was one of the match's most dangerous players. Participated on both goals and hit the post on a first-half free kick.
Nuno Gomes: 7. Set up the first goal and twice hit the post.
Simao Sabrosa: 6. Helped set up scoring opportunities on both sides of the field.
Raul Meireles (for Sabrosa in the 82nd): 7. Played little time but scored the goal that sealed the win.
Nani (for Nuno Gomes in the 69th): 6. Moved forward with quality a couple of times but played little time.

Volkan Demirel: 6. Solid. Had nothing he could do in either goals.
Servet Cetin: 6. Stood well despite playing with injury during most of the game.

Hakan Balta: 6. Kept Ronaldo under control, but hardly helped to get the ball forward.
Emre Belozoglu: 6. Hardworking but could not get the ball to forward Kahveci.
Mehmet Aurelio: 6. Combative. Stopped many Portuguese attempts before they turned into dangerous attacks.
Kazim Kazim: 7. Probably the best man in Turkey squad. Worked right flank well but was left alone.
Mevlut Erdinc: 5. Did not help defense, lost too many balls.
Nihat Kahveci: 5. Was almost invisible. Gave away too many balls.
Tuncay Sanli: 5. Seemed rushed and disorganized. Missed a chance to equalize late in the second half.
Emre Asik (For Zan in 55th): 6. Looked more solid in defense than Zan whom he replaced. Could not pass the ball forward.
Sabri Sarioglu (for Erdinc, 46th): 6. Hard working but final pass choices were not well-thought.
Semih Senturk (for Altintop, 76th): 5. Could not keep the ball. Brought no positive change.
