Portugal loses reserve goalkeeper Quim for Euro 2008 due to broken wrist

Portugal reserve goalkeeper Quim Silva was ruled out of the European Championship on Saturday after breaking his right wrist.
Quim hurt his wrist at Friday's practice session at Stade de Geneve, the federation said in a statement. The session was mostly closed to the media.
"It resulted in a fracture," team doctor Henrique Jones said. "Even though it is not a serious situation, he will have to be replaced."
The 32-year-old Quim has made 26 international appearances for Portugal.
Coach Luiz Felipe Scolari has not announced his starting lineup, but Ricardo is favored to start in goal for Portugal's opening Group A game against Turkey in Geneva later Saturday.
