Weather forecast for the Asia-Pacific region

A low pressure system passes by the southeastern coast of Japan on Sunday. It may bring moderate to heavy rainfall to the coast, but is not expected to move inland. This system will bring warm air from the south and slightly increase temperatures across the nation.
On Sunday night, a storm moves off the eastern coast of China and is expected to bring rain to western Japan late Sunday night. Storms moving from China will be of concern for Japan early next week.
In northern China, a relatively stationary trough of low pressure continues to bring scattered rainfall to the northeastern border, pushing into the Korean Peninsula. Expect cooler temperatures in this region through Sunday.
In Australia, a low pressure system with moderate to heavy rainfall dominates the heart of the continent. On Sunday, it should sweep through the country towards Melbourne and may move off shore by Monday. Expect increasing temperatures as the system moves to the south, pulling in warm air from the north.
A trough of low pressure comes in from the west Sunday night and is expected to bring heavy rains to the west coast of Australia. This system will lose its moisture as it makes landfall early on Monday, but will still bring rain showers to the region.
