The Detroit News apologizes for typo in Obama headline

The editor and publisher of The Detroit News says he has apologized for a headline error in early morning editions about Democratic presidential candidate Barack Obama.
Jonathan Wolman says the headline incorrectly read "Clinton, Osama meet to discuss unity" and appeared Friday on page 17A of about 45,000 newspapers.
Wolman says the error was made during a spell-check search and was caught and corrected about 20 minutes after the newspaper began publishing.
He says his apology was "graciously" accepted Friday by Obama's campaign. Obama campaign spokeswoman Amy Brundage also says the campaign has accepted the apology.
The News plans to run a correction Saturday.
