Rain and snow showers are anticipated throughout Japan on Saturday as a front moves out of the region and into the Pacific Ocean. The showers should linger throughout the day.
Some of the shower activity will spread west to the Korean Peninsula, which could see precipitation fall along its western coastline.
Eastern China should remain mostly clear and dry as high pressure remains in place over the region. High temperatures in Beijing are expected to rise to near 12 degrees Celsius, while Shanghai will see slightly warmer temperatures at about 14 C.
Tokyo will be just a bit cooler than the two Chinese cities with lows around 10 C.
Australia will continue to see precipitation fall across its northern coastline, but the east coast should see a break from the rain as a cold front focuses most of the precipitation off the coast.
A storm from this cold front will move into the waters just off the New Zealand coast and bring foul weather to the South Island. Gale force winds will strike the northern coast of the island, while heavy rain will fall across the country.
