Dark blue classic look for Australia's Olympic team

Australia's Olympic team got help from one of the country's most well-known models to help unveil a classic dark blue suit for August in Beijing.
Supermodel Kirsty Hinze helped launch the formal team wardrobe, which will be manufactured in lightweight wool to counter the expected stifling summer heat in the Chinese capital.
The suits to be worn by Australia's 480 athletes are in a subtle blue pinstripe, which the designers say represents the coastline of the continent.
The uniforms are for formal occasions. The Australian Olympic Committee said the clothes the athletes will wear when marching in the opening ceremonies will remain a secret until they appear in the Olympic Stadium on the evening of Aug. 8.
The designers shied away from Australia's traditional sporting colors of green and gold for the formal suits.
"It's the sort of thing you could wear to work," said kayaker Lachie Milne, who works as a doctor in a Sydney hospital.
Race walker Jane Saville, bidding to compete at her fourth Olympics, said the uniform felt terrific to wear.
"I think it's fabulous," said Saville, who missed a gold medal at the Sydney 2000 Games when she was disqualified for lifting as she was about to enter the stadium.
