A campaign official says Hillary Rodham Clinton raised $35 million (about euro23 million) in February.
The Democratic presidential candidate has been struggling to recover from weak fundraising in January. Clinton raised nearly $14 million (about euro9 million) in January to Barack Obama's $36 million (about euro24 million).
Obama spokesman Bill Burton would not disclose his campaign's fundraising total. He says, "We've raised considerably more than that."
The Clinton aide was speaking on condition of anonymity because the figure was to be formally announced later in the day. The official said most of the money raised in February was for the primary election. The campaign averaged about a $1 million (euro660,000) a day online alone.
