Report: Brazil police recover equipment stolen from Petrobras

Brazilian police said they have recovered equipment stolen from Brazil's state-run oil company that contained information about two huge new offshore petroleum finds, local media reported Thursday.
Four people were arrested in the police operation, which recovered the four laptops and the two hard drives that had been stolen from Petrobras on Feb. 14, the Agencia Estado news service said.
The equipment was taken while it was in possession of the Houston-based oil services company Halliburton Co., which was transporting it from an offshore rig to the city of Macae, where much of Petrobras' offshore exploration effort is centered.
Brazilian President Luiz Inacio Lula da Silva had said the stolen equipment contained "state secret."
Petrobras, or Petroleo Brasileiro SA, told authorities the information affects Brazil's national interests.
