Copa Libertadores: River Plate edges America of Mexico 2-1 with Ortega's injury time goal

Ariel Ortega scored in injury time for River Plate to edge America 2-1 in a Copa Libertadores Group 5 match on Wednesday.
Salvador Cabanas, a Paraguayan playing for America, opened the scoring with a spectacular header in the 15th minute and River's star Colombian striker Radamel Falcao leveled in the 31st.
Ortega booted home the winning goal two minutes into second-half injury time.
"We are the rightful winners," Ortega said. "We went looking for the victory in this match and we got it."
Ortega also had an early scoring chance but hit a post before 40,000 fans at Monumental Stadium.
River next plays against Catolica on March 12. A day later, American plays at home against San Martin.
