Poland beats Estonia 2-0 in friendly

Radoslaw Matusiak scored in the first half and substitute Tomasz Zahorski in the second and Poland beat Estonia 2-0 in a friendly on Wednesday.
Poland coach Leo Beenhakker was without any of his foreign-based players, and used the friendly to get a look at younger players from Poland's domestic league to try and fill his roster for this summer's European Championship.
The Poles almost took the lead in the first minute when Michal Golinski curled a left-footed free kick onto the post.
Matusiak tapped in a cross off a free kick from midfielder Lukasz Gargula after being left unmarked in the box in the 38th minute.
Forward Marek Zienczuk's left-footed drive was punched over the bar by Estonia goalkeeper Pavel Londak in the 50th, and three minutes later, an unmarked Matusiak shot wide from close range.
Zahorski finally closed the scoring in the 72nd, knocking in a lose ball after a scramble in front of the goal after a corner.
Estonia struggled to mount an effective attack. Its best chance came in the 52nd when Ats Purje hit a rebound off the post after Poland goalkeeper Sebastian Przyrowski fumbled a hard drive from Tarmo Kink.
Poland next plays the United States in March in Krakow as it prepares for its first European Championship, which will be held in June in Austria and Switzerland.
The Poles are in Group B with Croatia, Germany and Austria.
