US dollar falls, gold rises in European trading

The U.S. dollar fell against other major currencies in European trading Wednesday, reaching a record low against the euro. Gold rose.
The euro traded at US$1.5127, up from US$1.4967 late Tuesday in New York.

The British pound was quoted at US$1.9915, up from $1.9862.
Gold traded in London at US$956.70 per troy ounce, up from US$942.50 late Tuesday.
In Zurich, gold traded at US$953.95 bid per troy ounce, up from US$941.70.
Silver traded in London at US$19.09, up from US$18.44.
