WADA to appeal Jenkins case before the Court of Arbitration

The World Anti-Doping Agency has appealed a U.S. arbitration ruling that cleared sprinter LaTasha Jenkins of using the steroid nandrolone.
The agency has appealed to the Court of Arbitration for Sport, WADA director general David Howman said Wednesday.
In December, a three-person arbitration panel ruled the results of Jenkins' positive doping test from a track meet in Belgium in 2006 were compromised because both European labs testing her sample violated international standards.
Jenkins had been coached by Trevor Graham, who is charged with three felony counts of making false statements to federal investigators. The government has accused him of lying in 2004 when he denied distributing steroids or telling his athletes where they could get them. His trial is pending.
