Santoro retires injured; Tipsarevic, Koubek, Bolelli advance in Zagreb Indoors

Fourth-seeded Fabrice Santoro of France retired hurt against Olivier Rochus of Belgium in the first round of the PBZ Zagreb Indoors on Monday.
Rochus was leading 6-3, 2-0 when Santoro quit with a right shoulder injury according to tournament organizers.
Eighth-seeded Janko Tipsarevic of Croatia _ seeded for only the second time in an ATP tournament _ hit 11 aces in beating Mischa Zverev of Germany 6-3, 6-1.
Austria's Stefan Koubek saved two match points to overcome local wild card Franko Skugor 2-6, 7-6 (2), 6-0.
Skugor led by a set and 5-4 when he squandered both match points.
Italian Simone Bolelli also won, downing German Rainer Schuettler 6-3, 6-2 for only his second victory of the year.
The tournament features seven Croatians, including the top-seeded Ivan Ljubicic and second-seeded Ivo Karlovic.
