MOE Resort in Taitung reopens

The former Eastern Coast Resort of the Ministry of Education is now a top-graded resort hotel after the Far East Steel Safe Group acquired the management rights and investing NT$60 million in its refurbishment.
Located on the Cheng-gong-ling in Taitung, the resort has 47 suites in addition to large conference rooms, Chinese and Western restaurants, KTV rooms and an observatory. In the future, the establishment will employ more local aboriginal people to serve as guides and service personnel to introduce the tribal cultures and traditions to the visitors.
Moreover, surrounding the resort are highly concentrated attractions, such as the newly-emerging treasure hunt trip, Amis Harvest Festival, swordfish season, sea-crossing bridge at Terraces of the Three Immortals, stone umbrellas, spot of Tropic of Cancer that has educational meaning, Eight Immortals Cave which has prehistoric heritages, cable bridge, serving as the goal of the river canoe marathon, National Taitung Oceanarium, the only oceanarium with life support system in Taiwan.
