Chiang Fang quits posts as KMT officials

Late president Chiang Ching-kuo's daughter-in-law quit her posts in the opposition Kuomintang Wednesday after her son recently criticized the party's honorary chairman Lien Chan in his blog.
Chiang Fang Chih-yi announced her decision to quit her posts as KMT Central Standing Committee member, Central Committee member and KMT faction official during the meeting of the Central Standing Committee. She left the venue after making known her resignations.
On Sunday, Chiang Fang's eldest son, Demos Chiang, wrote in his blog that Lien dealt a serious blow to Taiwan's democracy by refusing to concede his failure in the 2004 election.
KMT Chairman Wu Poh-hsiung instructed the party's lawmaker Hung Hsiu-chu to retain Chiang Fang but added Lien was the one who has been wronged.
