Russia's Yaroshenko and Iourieva win biathlon team challenge

Dmitri Yaroshenko and Ekaterina Iourieva won the biathlon World Team Challenge on Saturday.
The Russian pair finished in 1 hour, 3 minutes, 48 seconds in an event popular with athletes because it draws a huge crowd for the sport.
Sweden's Ole Einer Bjorndalen and Tora Berger were second, 31.6 seconds back, with Germany's Anne Preussler and Michael Greis 45.2 behind for third.
Around 49,000 spectators were at the domed Veltins Arena.
"When you come out of the tunnel and really see the spectators for the first time, it sends chills through your body," said Kati Wilhelm, the German three-time Olympic champion, who finished fifth with Michael Roesch.
Yaroshenko and Iourieva won euro24,000 (US$35,000) after completing 18 rounds of 1,279 meters (1,399 yards) on artificial snow inside the stadium where Bundesliga soccer team Schalke plays.
