DOH honors Miramar Garden Taipei

The Miramar Garden Taipei, in conforming to the Department of Health's urge to upgrade the service quality of tourist hotels, has maintained superior food hygiene and safety control over the years and has finally received the nod from the local authorities. On November 5, the Hotel was awarded with the twin certifications of Outstanding Food and Beverage Sanitation in Tourist Hotel as well as Self-Management in Hotel Sanitation making it rank among the best Hotels in Taiwan with its outstanding performance.
Miramar Garden Taipei General Manager Linda Chu indicated that it is very important that the Hotel enhances its facilities and services to be at par with world-class venues. That is why besides consistently topping the list in room occupancy, the Hotel continuously strives to put much effort in making the environment sanitary and safe to every guest. Not only does the Hotel achieve excellence in terms of operation but more importantly, in carrying out effective and efficient internal and external management. These actions are manifested in the type of personalized services that each Hotel guest enjoys, eventually wins their trusts and ultimately, repeated patronage.
The process of certification by the Department of Health is a process that is consists of experts with rich experience in the hospitality industry. The granting of the OK mark to the Hotel is a symbol and honor, and a proof that every aspect of the Hotel meets the very high standard which would eventually benefit the staying guests.
The Department of Health indicated that the importance of the industry being able to practice independence in managing their respective venues in terms of sanitation. It is for this reason that the government institution grants the OK mark to authenticate the effort of the venue and at the same time promote local hotels to serve as inspiration to others in trying to achieve a world-class status. The DOH continues to urge the industry to conform to high sanitation standards in lodging, food and overall environment to assure guest of a pleasant and healthy stay.
DOH also indicated that the core elements for this year's judging included overall environment cleanliness and management, the lavatory management and the personnel management, especially in terms of handling customer feedback, disinfection of guest room as well as sanitation supplies. After very close inspections and checking, the DOH grant the special certification to honor the effort of the industry in keeping a very positive image of the venue.
