US dollar falls, gold mixed in European morning trading

The U.S. dollar was lower against other major currencies in European trading Friday morning. Gold was lower in London.
The euro traded at US$1.4697, up from US$1.4627 late Thursday in New York.

Gold traded in London at US$828.50 per troy ounce, down from US$829.25 late Thursday.
In Zurich, gold traded at US$828.55 bid per troy ounce, up from US$825.65.
Silver opened in London at US$14.62, down from US$14.63.
