Former champ Fittipaldi to drive pace car at next year's Indianapolis 500

Two-time Indy winner Emerson Fittipaldi will drive one of the two Chevrolet Corvettes pace cars at next year's Indianapolis 500.
Fittipaldi's Corvette Z06 will run on fuel similar to the 100 percent fuel-grade ethanol used in the IndyCar Series, Indianapolis Motor Speedway officials said Thursday. It will be the fifth straight race a version of the Corvette will lead the field.
The other pace car for the May 25 race is a black-and-silver commemorative model marking the 30th anniversary of the first Corvette pace car for the race. Chevrolet plans to produce 500 replicas in both coupe and convertible forms, each signed by Fittipaldi at the Corvette assembly plant in Bowling Green, Kentucky.
The cars were unveiled at the Indianapolis Auto Show.
