Taiwan News will present its readers with a brand-new look and improved content beginning on January 1, 2008 to adapt to the digital information age. The daily newspaper will adopt a tabloid-size format and the number of pages will be increased from 16 to 24. At the same time, Taiwan News will deliver news content via three media forms: traditional newspaper, audio/video electronic news, and Internet TV.
The news content of the daily newspaper will become more concise and readable, while the layout and design will focus on an attractive and easy-to-read format. The new Taiwan News will keep most of its original content and will add more business news pages.
In addition, updated news on Taiwan from Taiwan's perspective will be transmitted to the world via the digital electronic newspaper in English, Japanese, German and Korean every Tuesday and Friday. Major and breaking news items will be uploaded to Taiwan News TV for immediate broadcast.
The changes, which reflect Taiwan News' resolution to move toward digitalization, will provide readers and viewers with more versatile and timely news on Taiwan via multimedia, bringing them the latest and most accurate information.
