On New Year's Eve from 10 p.m. to 1 a.m., guests are invited to a dazzling party at the hotel's roof top pool, offering an optimal view of the Taipei 101 fireworks along with a great food and beverage selection for NT$2,800 per person. The party offers free-flow red and white wine, beer and non-alcoholic beverages along with a wide selection of buffet items, including Mussels, Oysters, freshly made Sushi, Quiche Lorraine, Roasted Veal, Lobster Bisque, Chicken Satay, Dim Sum selections, Tiramisu and Creme Brulee just to name a few. Shanghai Pavilion (39F) is offering two seven-course dinner set options on New Year's Eve and New Year's Day. The first for NT$2,200 per person features Stir-fried Scallops with Bell Peppers; Deep-Fried Crispy Pigeon and Sugared Dates with Rice Cake Stuffing and more. The second option for NT$2,800 per person features Pan-Fried Duck Liver with Preserved Vinegar; Baked Fresh Lobster with Cheese and Butter and Pan-Fried Lamb Tenderloin with Mushroom and Asparagus.
Five lucky couples can take advantage of Shanghai Pavilion's extra special New Year's Eve dinner for two priced at NT$17,101. Italian head chef, Fabian Altabert at Marco Polo Restaurant (38F) has designed a bold dinner set available on both New Year's Eve and Day highlighting Foie Gras Terrine with Spice Roasted Fig and Grilled Bruschetta, Saffron Risotto with Pan-Fried Quail Breast and Confit Leg, the entree choice of Surf and Turf of U.S. Prime Beef Tenderloin and Butter Poached Lobster Tail or Roasted Salmon Steak, followed by a Hazelnut Ice Parfait.
