Rangers held 1-1 by Aberdeen, still two points behind Celtic

Ten-man Rangers was held 1-1 by Aberdeen on Sunday and squandered a chance to go level on points with Celtic in the Scottish Premier League.
Charlie Adam gave Rangers the lead in the 30th minute at Pittodrie when he turned the ball home from close range from Lee McCulloch's cross.
McCulloch was sent off seven minutes later, however, for kicking out at Aberdeen's Scott Severin and 10-man Rangers conceded in first-half injury time when Lee Miller headed home.
Celtic's 1-1 draw with managerless Hibernian on Saturday left Rangers with an opportunity to draw level on points with its traditional rival with three games in hand. But Sunday's draw means it is still two behind with two games to spare.
Saturday's other results were: Dundee United 1, Gretna 2; Hearts 2, Inverness 3; Motherwell 0, Falkirk 3; and St. Mirren 0, Kilmarnock 0.
