Nadal aims to preserve his winning streak against Gasquet in Malaysian exhibition match

World No. 2 Rafael Nadal is aiming for his second victory against Richard Gasquet this month before the pair kick off their holiday season.
The two tennis stars face each other Tuesday in an exhibition match at Malaysia's Malawati Stadium, little more than a week after Nadal beat Gasquet 3-6, 6-3, 6-4 in Shanghai at the Masters Cup, the season-ending tournament for the top eight men's singles players.
"We know it's an exhibition match but we have big motivation to play well and try to win," Nadal said after arriving in Malaysia late Monday.
"Both of us know it's going to be our last match of season before we go off for our holidays. You always want to finish with good feelings," the Spaniard added.
Gasquet, ranked 8th in the world, acknowledged he was still striving to get the better of Nadal after four attempts.
"Nadal has been playing unbelievable tennis for the last three years. I might have lost in each of our previous four meetings, but I will keep trying and do my best," the Frenchman said.
Nadal said he would not be overconfident ahead of the match, billed by organizers as a "Clash of the Titans."
"Anything can happen," he said. "Our levels are very close. Last week, it went to a third set and he had chances to beat me. For sure, if he plays well, he can beat me."
