Traffic restrictions to be imposed
in Taipei for National Day rehearsals

Traffic restrictions will be imposed on motorists who are in the vicinity of the Presidential Office today, Friday and Sunday, due to National Day celebration rehearsals, according to the Ministry of National Defense.
MND urged the public to use alternative routes between 12 a.m. to 4 a.m. today and Friday, and between 5 a.m. to 1 p.m. on Sunday, saying that parking in the area will also be restricted.
The area affected is bordered by Chunghsiao W. Road to the north, Kuanchien Road, Hsiangyang Road and Kungyuen Road to the east, Nanhai Road to the south, and Poai Road, Kuiyang Street, Kuangchou Street and Yenping S. Road to the west, according to the Taipei City Police Department Traffic Division.
Chunghua Road (from Aikuo W. Road to Kaifeng Street) and Aikuo E. Road (from Chungshan S. Road to Hangchou S. Road) might also be affected if necessary for rehearsal purposes, said the division.
Taipei City Parking Management Office also asked the public to remove their parked cars from within the rehearsal area the night before as any vehicles within the restricted area will be towed.
