Tosic is lone rookie named in Serbia squad against Finland and Portugal

Midfielder Zoran Tosic was the only new name in Serbia's roster for European Championship qualifiers against Finland and Portugal.
The 21-man squad was announced by the Serbian soccer federation Friday, after receiving an e-mail with the list of names from coach Javier Clemente. Clemente was hospitalized after he punctured his lung and broke four ribs in a fall outside his home in northern Spain, news agency Europa Press reported.
The federation did not give details of the accident, but said Clemente plans to drive from Spain to Serbia for the match against Finland on Sept. 8 because doctors have forbidden him to fly.
Central defenders Nemanja Vidic of Manchester United and Mladen Krstajic of Shalke were included in the squad, even though both are suspended for the Finland match.
Captain Dejan Stankovic of Inter Milan returns after a one-game ban while Valencia striker Nikola Zigic is also available after suspension and injury ruled him out of Serbia's last three qualifiers.
Tosic of Partizan Belgrade was called up for the first time in an attempt to strengthen the midfield, which performed poorly in Serbia's 3-2 loss against Belgium in the previous round.
Poland leads Group A with 19 points, two points ahead of Finland. Portugal has 15 points, but has played one game less. Serbia is fourth with 14 points. Portugal hosts Serbia in Lisbon on Sept. 12.
