The Imperial Hotel Taipei presents the Assorted Moon Cakes Gift Box for Mid-Autumn Festival, one of the three most traditional and important festivals in Chinese culture when every family member must come home to reunite and celebrate together with the delicate moon cakes. The gift box which consists of two types of moon cakes as well as eight slices of traditional Taiwanese layers cakes (four different flavours) is at NT$780 per box.
With the trend of family size reducing, the traditional moon cake package may sometimes become a trouble for those small families who cannot consume the moon cakes before they expire. To suit the changing needs, The Imperial Taipei presents the exquisite gift pack with a smaller quantity of two moon cakes: the Cantonese style Truffle and Bacon flavour and Taiwanese style Red bean and Savoury Egg Yolk Pastry, both of which are baked with the best ingredients at the best quality.
Besides, the pastry chef has turned the traditional Taiwanese Layers Cakes into mouth-watering delicacies for this festival. The four flavours include: Coconut Milk Sweetened Red Beans, Taiwanese Pineapple, Black Sugar and Coconut Milk and Green Bean.
Taking the environment into consideration, the fashionable design of the gift box is re-usable. On the outside, it is covered with crocodile-skin embossed leather; inside the box it is covered by velvet paper. It can be a perfect accessories box, either for the ladies for their jewelries or for the gentlemen's watches and stationery.
Layers Cakes
The Taiwanese style layers cakes cater for the needs of calories-cautious gourmands. The pastry chef at Imperial Hotel Taipei selects only the best ingredients from the local farms, adjusts sweetness carefully, mixes the ingredients with coconut milk. They are best served when chilled.
