Lufthansa's CityLine commuter airline reports 18 flights canceled because of pilot walkout

Lufthansa's CityLine commuter airline reports 18 flights canceled because of pilot walkout

German airline Lufthansa AG said Friday it canceled 18 flights at its CityLine unit after a pilot union staged a two-hour walkout.
The Bonn-based airline said the walkout by the Cockpit union began at 6:30 a.m and lasted until 8:30 a.m. (0430-0630 GMT) and affected flights from Germany.
CityLine is the company's regional airline, carries about 6.7 million passengers a year and flies to 60 destinations across Europe. The union said it staged the walkout after it failed to reach an agreement with Lufthansa about working conditions, including long flight duties and days off for its pilots.
Flights were resuming after 8:30 a.m. and it wasn't immediately clear how many passengers had been affected.
