Sevilla to sign Ivory Coast forward Kone

Sevilla is set to sign Ivory Coast forward Arouna Kone from PSV Eindhoven to a five-year contract.
The club gave no financial details of the deal Thursday, but it is believed to have paid euro12 million (US$16.3 million) for the 23-year-old forward.
Sevilla said it has attached a euro30 million (US$40.8 million) buyout clause to Kone's contract. He is likely to be presented Saturday after taking a routine medical.
Sevilla striker Javier Chevanton is expected to make way for Kone by joining Racing Santander on loan for the season.
Kone, whose brother Bakari also plays for Ivory Coast, scored 21 goals in two seasons with PSV. A former player with Lierse and Roda JC, Kone has made 25 international appearances and played in last year's World Cup.
Sevilla, which is mourning the death of midfielder Antonio Puerta, is seeking its sixth trophy in the past 15 months when it meets AC Milan in the European Super Cup on Friday.
