Real Salt Lake hands Wizards fourth loss in five games, 3-1

Matias Mantilla scored just 40 seconds into the game as Real Salt Lake got help from its three newest players to defeat the Kansas City Wizards 3-1 on Wednesday.
Fabian Espindola scored in the 42nd minute for Real Salt Lake while Javier Morales assisted Mantilla's goal on a corner kick. Salt Lake signed the three Argentine players earlier in the month, but the trio hadn't yet all started at the same time.
Andy Williams scored from 50 yards away from the goal in the 85th minute when he chipped the ball over Kansas City goalkeeper Kevin Hartman to finish the scoring for Salt Lake.
Eddie Johnson scored his 13th goal of the season in the 69th minute for the Wizards, who have now lost four of their last five games.
Morales was making his first appearance for Salt Lake, which ended a two-game losing streak, while Espindola had played in the previous two games and Mantilla was on the field for his second time.
