Aaron Hughes returns for Northern Ireland's Euro 2008 qualifiers

Northern Ireland recalled captain Aaron Hughes for its European Championship qualifying matches next month as it seeks to qualify for the final tournament for the first time.
Northern Ireland plays at Latvia on Sept. 8 and travels to Iceland four days later. Hughes, a defender for Premier League club Fulham, missed Northern Ireland's 3-1 win over Liechtenstein in a qualifier last Wednesday due to an ankle injury. Chris Baird was captain for that game.
Defender Sean Webb and midfielder Stuart Elliott _ called up as late injury replacements for the match against Liechtenstein _ were included in the 24-man squad named by coach Nigel Worthington on Tuesday.
Defender Jonathan Evans and midfielder Damien Johnson are also in the squad after missing the last game due to injury.
David Healy is expected to lead the attack. He scored two goals against Liechtenstein to increase his qualifying tally to 11. Germany's Lukas Podolski and David Villa of Spain are the next highest scorers with seven goals.
Sweden leads Group F with 18 points after seven games, two points ahead of Northern Ireland and three clear of Spain. Denmark is in fourth place with 10 points.
