Pujols, Ankiel homer, Cardinals beat Cubs 6-4 to move within 3 games of lead

Albert Pujols and Rick Ankiel homered, Scott Rolen drove in three runs with a pair of doubles and the St. Louis Cardinals beat the Chicago Cubs 6-4 Monday, moving within three games of the lead in Major League Baseball's National League Central Division.
The game was delayed 1 hours, 27 minutes by rain in the bottom of the seventh.
The Cardinals salvaged one win in what was to have been a four-game series before the Sunday night's game was postponed. Chicago won on Friday and Saturday.
Pujols hit his 28th homer in the fifth, and Rolen had a two-run double in the first and a run-scoring double in the third.
Giants 8, Marlins 7
In Miami, Bengie Molina drove in the go-ahead run in the sixth inning with his third RBI single, and the last-place San Francisco Giants overcame a four-run deficit to complete a four-game sweep with an 8-7 win over the Florida Marlins on Monday.
The Giants won their fifth consecutive game for their longest road winning streak since Aug. 21-Sept. 5, 2005. San Francisco finished 6-3 on its first winning trip of the year.
Each team played without its slugger in the starting lineup. Barry Bonds sat out for the second day in a row, and the Marlins' Miguel Cabrera was a late scratch because he arrived late to the ballpark, the team said.
