England makes 12 changes for final World Cup warmup against France

England made 12 changes for the return match against France in its final World Cup warmup.
Only scrumhalf Shaun Perry, lock Simon Shaw and wing Josh Lewsey kept their places for Saturday's game in Marseille, after starting in the 21-15 loss to France at Twickenham last weekend.
Former Britain rugby league captain Andy Farrell will resume the center partnership with Dan Hipkiss that contributed to England's record 62-5 win against Wales on Aug. 4.
Nick Easter became the first England No. 8 to score three tries in that match and is again in the back row with Martin Corry and flanker Tom Rees.
Lawrence Dallaglio, part of England's 2003 World Cup-winning team, is on the bench.
Both Dallaglio and Easter were chosen on Monday for England's World Cup squad.
"It would be wrong to interpret that Easter was ahead of Dallaglio at the moment," England coach Brian Ashton said. "In terms of fitness, I've never seen Dallaglio work as hard. That is a tribute to the nature of the guy _ he's been through it all before, and he wants to do it again."
Dallaglio started his first international in three years in the narrow loss to France at Twickenham.
"There are some players in here who are playing in positions where other players last week put a big marker down," Ashton said. "Mike Catt had a reasonable game last week, so this is a big game for Andy Farrell, George Chuter and Steve Borthwick, too.
"The more I look at the nature of the World Cup, the more I am looking for players who have got mental strength, who have come through the big games before at international level."
Ashton's plans were upset by the unavailability of prop Andrew Sheridan, who has remained in hospital since Sunday after an insect bite on his right leg. Flanker Lewis Moody (calf muscle) and scrumhalf Peter Richards (back) are also injured.
The World Cup runs from Sept. 7-Oct. 20 and will be staged mainly in France.
