Copa Libertadores: Santos draw ends winning streak

Santos conceded a 2-2 draw to Venezuela's Caracas and Boca Juniors crushed Velez Sarsfield in an all-Argentine clash in Copa Libertadores second-round soccer on Wednesday.
In other first-leg matches, Sao Paulo edged fellow Brazilians Gremio 1-0, Mexico's America routed Chile's Colo Colo 3-0, and Uruguay's Defensor Sporting drubbed Brazil's Flamengo 3-0.
Venezuela's Caracas barely squeezed into the last 16 but twice rallied to draw two-time champion Santos, which had won all eight of its Copa matches this year but was under pressure after losing the opener of its state finals 2-0 to Sao Caetano last weekend.
Ze Roberto of Santos took advantage of a blunder by Jorge Rojas to score in the 17th but Caracas equalized in the 54th when Colombian Ivan Velasquez scored off a free kick.
Kleber put Santos back in front in the 64th, but the Venezuelans struck back four minutes from the end with a goal from defender Leonel Vielma.
Juan Roman Riquelme, Martin Palermo and Clemente Rodriguez scored to the delight of 40,000 mainly Boca Juniors fans at La Bombonera.
Riquelme gave Boca the lead in the ninth minute, and in the 24th, Velez Sarsfield goalkeeper Gaston Sessa's challenge on Boca striker Rodrigo Palacio ended with Palacio bleeding from the hurt _ but not seriously _ and Sessa sent off.
Palermo penalty attempt flew over the crossbar, but he atoned in the 60th with a header for 2-0. Rodriguez completed the scoring with a solo run.
Two-time champion Gremio started well but host and three-time champ Sao Paulo finished better.
After a scoreless first half, Sao Paulo turned up the pressure and was rewarded in the 58th minute when midfielder Diego Souza's corner kick was turned by Dagoberto for defender Miranda to blast into the left corner for the only goal.
Minutes later, Souza set up Dagoberto who whipped around and volleyed the shot home but the goal was called back for offsides.
Gremio coach Mano Menezes introduced former AC Milan and Sao Paulo striker Amoroso in the second half but the 32-year-old striker had little impact.
Mexico's America scored twice in a three-minute span in the first half and ended up routing Chile's Colo Colo 3-0.
Salvador Cabanas' 10th goal of the tournament was followed quickly by Santiago Fernandez's header goal in the 29th minute, and Chilean Ricardo Rojas capped the scoring in the 53rd.
America's 23 goals lead the Copa Libertadores.
Defensor Sporting drubbed Flamengo of Brazil 3-0 in Montevideo, with Alvaro Navarro scoring in the fifth minute off a penalty kick and again in the 75th, sandwiching Alvaro Gonzalez's header goal three minutes after halftime.
Navarro's opening goal followed Flamengo defender Leo Moura's foul on Defensor striker Paulo Pezzolano before 10,000 fans at Centenario stadium.
On Thursday, its Parana of Brazil vs. Libertad of Paraguay, Nacional of Uruguay vs. Necaxa of Mexico, and Cucuta Deportivo of Colombia vs. Toluca of Mexico.
