Hootie & the Blowfish to help collect school supplies again

Hootie & the Blowfish announced a 14-city concert tour to help collect supplies for disadvantaged schools.
Concertgoers are encouraged to bring school supplies, which are in turn donated to schools in the community. The group started the event in Charleston, S.C., in 2003, and has been expanding it since.
The group says it has collected around $100,000 (euro73,594)worth of supplies so far.
The group's Homegrown Concert Series will begin July 3 in Lewiston, New York, and end Sept. 3 in Detroit.
Other stops will be in Groton, Connecticut; Atlanta; Vienna, Virginia; Glen Allen, Virginia; Norfolk, Virginia; St. Leonard, Maryland; Glendale, Arizona; Hilton Head, South Carolina; Valdosta, Georgia; Highland Park, Illinois; Charleston, South Carolina; and Indianapolis.
The group's hits include "Let Her Cry," "Hold My Hand" and "Only Wanna Be with You."
