Indian actress now deadly with a sword

Bollywood beauty Priyanka Chopra will hold her charm in check and let her weapons do the talking in her next movie.
Chopra plays a bodyguard adept in fighting with a sword and wielding a kirpan, or dagger, traditionally carried by Sikhs in her new movie, "Drona."
"It's an unconventional role that your average Hindi film heroine doesn't get to do," she told the movie magazine Screen.
"I had to learn a Sikh martial art called "gatka," which needs precision skills. It involves a lot of complex movements using the kirpan," said the former Miss World.
"As part of my training program, I had to fight an entire group of people using a sword."
Among the rare Indian actresses to take on action roles, Chopra said: "I do my own stunts because as an actor I think I am better able to understand my character than a stunt person."
The movie also features popular actor Abhishek Bachchan as a superhero and Kay Kay Menon as the villain. Indian director Goldie Behl has not revealed details about the movie or announced the release date.
Chopra has starred in several hit movies. Last year she played the female lead in India's first superhero movie "Krrish" and had an action-packed role as a mob member in "Don."
