Amoroso to debut for Gremio in Copa Libertadores

Gremio will debut former AC Milan striker Amoroso when it faces Brazilian rival Sao Paulo in the second round of the Copa Libertadores on Wednesday.
Amoroso, a former Brazil striker who also played for Germany's Borussia Dortmund and Italy's Parma, was recently acquired from Corinthians.
"Amoroso will play from the start (against Sao Paulo)," Gremio coach Mano Menezes told local media.
The 32-year-old veteran player was signed by Milan in 2006 after helping Sao Paulo win the Copa Libertadores and FIFA's world club championship in 2005.
"I known the Libertadores means a lot to Sao Paulo," Amoroso told local media. "They have a strong team and will play hard from the beginning."
Gremio, a two-time Copa Libertadores champion, will be playing its 100th Copa match. The Brazilians have won 51 games, drawing 22, and losing 26.
