Strong wind kills 4 tourists, leaves 1 missing in central Vietnam

A powerful wind swept eight tourists out to sea, leaving four drowned and one missing in central Vietnam, an official said Tuesday.
The tourists, all Vietnamese, had been swimming in the sea during bad weather despite authorities' warnings, said Ho Viet Phuoc, vice chairman of Cua Lo People's Committee in Nghe An province.
Rescue workers saved three of the swimmers. Bodies of four others, men ages 24 to 64, were found, Phuoc said.
"We are still searching for the one missing, but the chance (of finding the swimmer) is very unlikely," he said.
Nghe An is 300 kilometers (190 miles) southeast of the capital, Hanoi.
