FedEx expands express freight service in Asia-Pacific

FedEx Express, a subsidiary of FedEx Corp., recently announced the expansion of its International Priority Freight Service from its Asia-Pacific region to an additional 27 countries.
This expansion increases express freight coverage served from Asia Pacific to over 90 countries, the company said in a statement.
FedEx International Priority Freight offers customers a time-definite, premium airfreight service for international palletized shipments or an individual package weighing more than 150 lbs (68kgs) or shipments that exceed the normal size restrictions. It also offers customers the ability to combine pickup, line-haul and delivery options to meet their transportation needs.
"With international trade volume growing at more than six percent per year over the past decade, the expansion of fast and reliable airfreight services is essential to businesses in Asia," said David L. Cunningham Jr., president of FedEx Asia Pacific. "Air express services, including FedEx Express Freight, will become more crucial for businesses to streamline their supply chains while marketing finished products faster than ever."
Customs clearance is included in the transport rate and shipments are backed by a FedEx money-back guarantee. This priority service is supported by leading-edge technology, which allows customers to increase efficiency in supply chain management and provide complete transparency in the movement of goods.
