Indian shares move lower; ICICI Bank, Hindustan Lever down

Indian shares moved marginally lower Monday with losses in banks such as ICICI Bank and consumer goods company Hindustan Lever.
The Bombay Stock Exchange's 30-share Sensex index ended down 36 points, or 0.3 percent, to 13,872 points.
On the broader National Stock Exchange, the 50-company S&P Nifty index gained 4 points, or 0.1 percent, to end at 4,088 points.
"The momentum is still pretty strong," said Apurva Shah, assistant vice president for institutional sales at Mumbai-based brokerage Prabhudas Lilladher.
Among the losers Monday, ICICI Bank tumbled 7.3 percent to 866 rupees, and Hindustan Lever Ltd. lost 4.8 percent to 199 rupees.
However, Reliance Communications Ltd. gained 3.7 percent to 477 rupees, Infosys Technologies Ltd. climbed 2.1 percent to 2,049 rupees, and Tata Consultancy Services Ltd. rose 2.5 percent to 1,266 rupees.
The markets will be shut for the next two days. Tuesday is Labor Day on Tuesday and Wednesday is the religious holiday Buddha Pournima.
