Thai shares rise led by energy and petrochemical blue chips

Thai shares rose 0.6 percent Monday on buying in energy and petrochemical blue chips, analysts said.
The Stock Exchange of Thailand's benchmark SET Index gained 4.05 point to close at 699.16, as 1.43 billion shares worth 12.30 billion baht changed hands.
Analysts expect the index to remain in a range between 695 and 705.
Active stocks included oil and gas giant PTT, up 1.9 percent to 220 baht, Aromatics (Thailand), which gained 6.8 percent to 55 baht after it posted strong first quarter earnings, and Rayong Refinery, up 1.6 percent to 18.80.
