Bayliss denies Toseland a double in nail-baiting finish at Assen

World champion Troy Bayliss edged James Toseland by 0.009 seconds to deny the British rider a double in the world superbike championship on Sunday.
Australia's Bayliss won the second race in 36 minutes, 54.133 seconds.
Toseland was second to hold his lead in the standings, and Italy's Max Biaggi third in 37:01.572.
Toseland won the opening race in 37:02.097, and leads the standings on 196 points, 32 ahead of second-place Biaggi.
Japan's Noriyuki Haga, who was second in the first race after starting from the 15th and third in the second race, was third overall, while Bayliss jumped to fourth.
