Deportivo wins 1-0 at Sociedad

Javier Arizmendi scored a 29th-minute goal to lead Deportivo La Coruna to a 1-0 win at Real Sociedad on Saturday in the Spanish league.
The Spain striker scored his fifth league goal after stabbing at a free kick by Sergio Gonzalez to extend Deportivo's unbeaten streak to 11 games in all competitions.
Later Saturday, Atletico Madrid will be looking for its first win in eight years over cross-town rival Real Madrid at the Vicente Calderon Stadium.
Madrid will be without Los Angeles Galaxy-bound midfielder David Beckham, due to suspension, and leading goalscorer Ruud van Nistelrooy, who was left off the team sheet due to an undisclosed injury.
Atletico fans reportedly clashed with police outside the stadium before the game, smashing car windows.
FC Barcelona and Sevilla lead the league with 46 points, four more than Valencia and Madrid. Atletico is fifth with 39.
Striker Samuel Eto'o _ who has played only five minutes since returning from a knee injury sustained in September _ was included in the Barcelona squad to face Athletic Bilbao on Sunday.
But the struggling Catalan club _ which is coming off a 2-1 league loss at Valencia and Tuesday's 2-1 Champions League defeat to Liverpool _ will be without midfielder Deco who is suspended.
Also Sunday, Sevilla travels to Getafe, Villarreal hosts Mallorca, Levante plays Zaragoza, Real Betis meets Recreativo Huelva, Racing Santander plays at Celta Vigo, Osasuna faces Espanyol, and last-placed Gimnastic Tarragona plays Valencia.
