Teens Allegedly Keep Stolen Car 2 Weeks

Three teenage boys stole a car and used it for their wheels for nearly two weeks, putting gas in it and digging it out after last week's snowstorm, police said.
The youngest of the three, a 13-year-old, did the driving, said Sgt. John M. Solecki, of the city criminal investigation division.
Chen Ke Xiang had reported his 1997 Lexus stolen on Feb. 6. The keys were left in the ignition.
During the time the three boys had it, Solecki said, "One of the kids did admit they shoveled out a spot (in the snow) and even purchased gasoline for it."
The boys _ ages 13, 14 and 16, whose names were not released, lost their ride on Monday when an officer spotted the car and recognized it as one reported stolen. Police watched the car and apprehended the boys when they returned and began to drive off, with the 13-year-old at the wheel.
The boys were committed to the Berks County Youth Center in Bern Township to await juvenile hearings on theft and conspiracy charges, police said.
