Thai shares slip down on profit-taking

Thai shares fell 0.57 percent Monday on profit-taking after gains last week.
The Stock Exchange of Thailand's benchmark SET Index lost 3.73 points to close at 653.92, with total trading of 2.5 billion shares worth 10.4 billion baht.
Analysts said that there was no news either particularly bad or good to shake the market.
Among actively traded issues, Bangkok Bank PCL lost 0.9 percent at 107 baht, petrochemical firm IRPC PCL fell 2.7 percent to 5.40 baht, and Charoen Pokphand Foods PCL declined 2.2 percent at 4.56 baht amid renewed bird flu worries. Airports of Thailand PCL fell 4.5 percent to 47.75 baht on concerns over cracks taxiways at the new Suvarnabhumi Airport it operates in Bangkok.
