South Africa adds just 40 runs in session for loss of two wickets

South Africa added just 40 runs for the loss of two wickets by lunch Sunday to reach 76-4, still requiring another 85 runs to win the third test and series against Pakistan.
South Africa resumed on 36-2 at the Newlands Stadium with the series tied at 1-1 and Mohammad Asif took both wickets to fall in the morning session on day three.
He had captain Graeme Smith out leg-before-wicket for 33 without another run added and Hashim Amla (3) caught behind by Kamran Akmal just three runs later.
Asif, who had bowled 11 straight overs, had figures of 2-25 and Danish Kaneria had 2-17 off 17 overs.
South Africa dismissed Pakistan for 157 in its first innings and then made 183 in reply.
After 15 wickets fell on the first day, another 17 fell on the second as South Africa bowled out Pakistan for 186 and was set 161 runs to win.
