Panathinaikos beats Panionios 2-0 in Greek league; Ninis youngest scorer ever

Dimitris Salpingidis and Sotiris Ninis scored Saturday for Panathinaikos to beat Panionios 2-0 in the Greek league.
At 16 years and 10 months, Ninis became the youngest player to score in the Greek league, beating Thomas Mavros' 1971 record by three weeks.
Panathinaikos is now second in the 16-team standings with 41 points, five behind Olympiakos. AEK is third with 40. On Sunday, Olympiakos hosts OFI and AEK plays at Iraklis.
Salpingidis scored his 10th goal of the season in the sixth minute from close range after receiving a through ball by Alexandros Tziolis.
The hosts extended their lead in the 46th when Ninis dribbled past two defenders to score with a low drive from the edge of the box.
Also Saturday, Larissa won 2-1 at Egaleo.
