Rangers and Hearts draw 0-0

Rangers failed to win for the first time since Walter Smith took over as manager, drawing 0-0 with visiting Hearts on Saturday.
Hearts goalkeeper Steve Banks filled in for starter Craig Gordon and denied defender David Weir and forward Nacho Novo at close range. Rangers had won two straight games since Smith resigned as Scotland manager to take the vacant job at Rangers on Jan. 10.
Aberdeen won for the first time in five matches and moved into third place with a 2-0 win at St. Mirren through a brace from defender Andrew Considine.
Celtic, which plays Inverness Caledonian Thistle on Sunday, lead the Scottish Premier League with 62 points. Rangers is second with 46, four more than Aberdeen. Hearts is fourth with 41.
In Saturday's other games, Dundee United drew 0-0 with Dunfermline, Kilmarnock beat Falkirk 2-0, and Hibernian beat Motherwell 2-0.
