Condition of injured ski jumper Jan Mazoch improving

Czech ski jumper Jan Mazoch, who crashed last week at a World Cup event in southern Poland, moved his legs and arms and reacted to speech Friday, a day after being brought out of a coma.
Mazoch, 21, sustained brain injuries and was undergoing constant neurological tests, treatment and rehabilitation, hospital spokeswoman Anna Niedzwiedzka said.
"If his condition keeps improving at this pace, doctors suggest he may be fit to be moved to another hospital next week," Niedzwiedzka said.
Mazoch's parents have asked if he can be moved to a hospital in the Czech capital of Prague.
Mazoch crashed Saturday in high winds and appeared to bounce off the hill during his second jump at a World Cup meet in Zakopane. He was taken to the local hospital and then transferred to another hospital in Krakow where he was induced into a coma until late Wednesday to control the swelling on his brain.
